The Artist

Well, you could start by saying, Hello!

What do you do when you need a compelling copy, captivating script, or a creative campaign?

My name is Iqra, which literally translates to read in Arabic.

 

So be assured when I say I’ll be reading, re-reading, and proofreading every piece of art I work on.

 

But that’s not all, I am also a little research nerd and Google is my specialty. Anybody can Google, but it takes special dedication to be looking for information on page 12. Just kidding, I would never go on a poorly SEO-optimized website.

As a proud zoomer, I have proclaimed myself a meme anthropologist operating primarily on Instagram and Tik Tok but never on Facebook (Shudders in Boomers). Based on what I have written above, I also believe that I am capable of going a step ahead of whatever the normal is.

I graduated from Middlesex University, Dubai with first-class honours and was the first batch to take on virtual classes on everything Advertising, PR and Branding.

 

Currently, I am working as the Content Executive with Spark Foundry, a global media agency within Publicis Groupe where I get to create content and manage projects ranging from corporate social media to AI-enabled Virtual Assistant, Metaverse and NFTs. 

 

I have a knack to understand brands and adapt my communication to their tone of voice and brand personality. I can create content that’s hip and quirky, or serious and factual, depending on the requirement. Flexible is one of many adjectives that appropriately describes me.

Mad Men may have exposed the sexist advertisements of the 60s but it also made me crazy about the industry.

 

Creatively answering clients’ briefs and designing an integrated advertising campaign that ultimately goes out for the world to see is one of my dreams. The other would be to relive a Jane Austen novel.  

 

I have created a few promotional plans that I am proud of and would love to see my work actually come to reality.  This is an experience I am still on the lookout for and willing to work really hard for.
